In order to solve the problem caused by the independent, no communication, unshared information of the application systems in electric power enterprises, this paper put forward a method making use of Grid technology and Common Information Model (CIM). Grid adopts some open standards, with its own service format to transparently access heterogeneous data resources. CIM describes the object entities in electric power system with orient-object method. Through essential processed and CIM encapsulated, the date accessed by Grid service is achieved standardization and general availability. This paper first proposes the grid service framework for heterogeneous data sharing. Later, in allusion to distribution network data stored in relational database, the service for data access is implemented, and the access result is encapsulated into CIM format. At last, this paper applied the above method to one example about data transition. Based on the abstractness characteristics of grid service and standard CIM encapsulation, a flexible, dynamic and unified data sharing mechanism is provided.
