The technology of CAD has been applied widely in various industry because it can improve the efficiency of design and ease the work of designers. As the development of computer technology and artificial intelligence, CAD has entered into the intellectualized stage. In the electricity area, the technology of power supply and distribution CAD drops behind. The existing power distribution CAD system, which provides the pure drawing and the simple computation functions merely, cannot satisfy the need of designers.The design of power supply and distribution is a complex project. It includes designing of high voltage distribution system, low voltage distribution system, as well as substation; massive drawing; analysis and computation. This thesis analyzes the structure of power supply and distribution system. Applying object orient technology, this thesis also establishes the object module for substations, devices and lines. Each object has been sealed with the electrical parameter attribute and the basic analysis and computation program. Therefore, the designing is translated to the operation of each object. The connection between object and graphic by secondary develop technology realizes the integration of data processing, analysis calculation and drawing. The design of power supply and distribution depends on large numbers of rule and experience. Consequently, the expert system is constructed, which inputs these rule and mature experience in the knowledge-base as"condition-conclusion"format. During designing, inducing module reads these knowledge and receives the conclusion from corresponding condition. Then the conclusion leads the computer computing automatically which make the intellectualized design and verification realize.Moreover, this thesis also proposes the turpo model which is constructed by node table and road table. The function of tidal current computation, short-circuit computation and the dependability analysis regarding to radiation distribution grid is realized in this CAD system.The power supply and distribution CAD system is developed with VB, AutoCAD and Access. It applies object-oriented technology, artificial intelligence technology and AutoCAD secondary develop technology to realize the integrated, systematized and intellectualized power supply and distribution CAD system.
