The influence of traditional space of architects on the social culture in China is far reaching. As our nowadays life is based on the history, old experience on space still exercises a great and subtle influence on people. The excessively impression for modernism neglects history, also the relation of current lives and the past.In architect phenomenology, architects reflect the extending concatenations in regional character and culture. Ancient Chinese Gardens give many a master for Chinese architects. The dissertation studies the reasons such as social conditions together with economic and geography factors for the creation of traditional architect space, with an typical cut from South Chinese Garden in certain period. It also discuss the techniques for making traditional spaces, so as to create architects space for our err which reflect certain clime and culture.The dissertation includes three chapters. In the first chapterphenomenology and traditional architect are discussed. The effect of culture on Chinese traditional architects are analyzed, as well as gardens and space design techniques. The second chapter aims at the architect place creation and order of stone circles courtyards. The last chapter probe into regional characters and the signification with existing items, conclude the importance for regional characters deal with architect space. At the end of the article it gives a direction for integrate designing of architects.The thesis has about 40,000 characters and 140 illustrations.
