Firstly, the thesis sets about from the relationship between community commerce and the community, classifying the community commerce with typology. As one kind of commerce closed to resident, dwelling house and city, the community commerce has unique characteristic different from the shopping malls and paving business streets, not only because of the difference in space and form, more importantly lying in its function bearing community public life space, representing one kind of city life in contemporary context. On the other hand, community commerce is one kind of commercial construction existing in community, however, the community resident has different population characteristic (age structure, sex proportion, educational background, the family condition and etc) and the living content (work and rest time, occupation characteristic, family income and etc), by way of investigating the life-style of local resident, the living taste, shopping inclination, studying the consumption mind in consume society, we can ascertain the characteristic of community commerce, in order to find corresponding strategy to deal with space and form in the design process.
