To assure the structure integrity of aging airplane, Federal Aviation Administration prescribed in Code of Federal Regulation§121.370 that operations specifications must be issued to reference repair assessment guidelines applicable to the fuselage pressure boundary structure, if airplane beyond the applicable flight cycle implementation time. Based on Boeing 737-300/400/500, the assessment of repairs to fuselage pressure boundary is studied in this paper. According to the regulation of FAA on airworthiness, a assessment program of repairs to aging airplane fuselage pressure boundary is designed to assistant airworthiness administration to assess repairs of aging airplane fuselage pressure boundary structure. The program is consisted of three processes: information collection, repair type estimation and inspection requirements establishment. A repair assessment computer database system is also developed based on the assessment program, in which Visual C++ is used as the computer programming language, and Microsoft Access for the supporting database. At last, a advisory circular about fuselage pressured boundary structure repair assessment is compiled.
