In 1998, together with the Airlines and Original Equipment Manufacturers, Federal Aviation Administration launched the"Aging Transport Nonstructural Systems Plan", in which an important task is to research the function of the aging transport fleet and build a model of estimating the safety of the airplane systems. In recent years, worldwide aviation authorities and airlines pay much attention to the aging of the airline systems and the influence on its security. In China, the research in this field has just begun, and the theories and methods of evaluation fall behind.Since nowadays, there is no detailed evaluation method on the aging system of airplanes in China, this paper put forward a method for evaluating the aging system of the airplanes, which are obtained by researching the results of evaluating the aging transport fleet within 10 years and by considering the actual conditions of civil aviation of China. These method are based on statistical analysis and will provide guidance for the further relevant studies.Under the guidance of theoretical method, this paper analyzes the"Uncertain Layer Analytic Method"and its apply in the evaluation of aging systems. Based on the powerful calculating capabilities of MATLAB software, this paper put forward a new method of improving the"interval number comparison matrix". It has been proved that this method is more reasonable and more effective in the small interval number comparison matrix. Meanwhile, it sets up a kind of evaluation model which the index number of its breakdown changes according to the flying hours and flight cycle. This evaluation model could be used as to study the aging of air-conditioning system, power system, flight control system, hydraulic system, landing gear system and navigation system of B737-300 fleet of a domestic airline and to propose concrete solutions to the serious aging system.
