In the starting process of the coal mill in the unit pulverized coal system, the big fluctuation of the main steam pressure often causes that the coordinate control system can't run continuously in the automatic mode. For this case, this paper introduces a new control strategy, which is the compound of expert control, fuzzy control and traditional PID control. This paper introduces the principle, the composing, control flow and the simulation of this control strategy in details. And the base control rule is according to the results of the optimization with genetic algorithms. The implement of the control strategy in the 200MW unit in Beijing achieves good results and proves its correctness and feasibility. The control strategy realizes the intelligent optimized control during the starting process of the coal mill. In the view of the control system for hest power engineering, it makes the persistence running of the AGC of the large scale units that burn coal becomes possible.
