The voltage and reactive power control of the power system is an effective measure to improve the voltage profile and reduce the transmission loss, and one of the most important control methods to ensure power system operation securely and economically, so research on the voltage/reactive power control strategies in the regional power network is important. This paper analyzes the shortage of the methods used in the voltage and reactive power control at present, according to the character of the regional power network , proposes a method of the voltage and reactive power control-fuzzy and decision trees algorithm, which is based on the fuzzy inference and decision trees algorithm. The method of fuzzy and decision trees solves the fuzzy boundary problem of bus voltage and overcomes the shortage of the fixed boundary control methods. The fuzzy and decision trees algorithm is applied to the simulate system and the Bameng power network, the computing results prove that the method of voltage/reactive power control strategies in the regional power network based on fuzzy and decision trees in this paper is effective, and possesses the excellent the value in theory and practice.
