Vibration feeder is a sort of feed equipment which is applied on the automation line and assembly line. Traditional vibration feeder is a sort of feeding equipment which is driven by piezoelectric bimorph or mechanism, electromagnet or engine etc. Compared to the traditional vibration feeders ,piezoelectric vibration feeder was invented few years ago. As it has lot of advantages, such as wide range of feeder rates ,high reliability and stability, no heat, no magnetic effect, energy-saving and so on. It will take the place of traditional electromagnet vibration feeder.A new type piezoelectric vibration feeder which is driven by piezoelectric bimorph but in different way is brought in this thesis. As its vibration is vertical to the surface, we call it vertical-drive type piezoelectric vibration feeder. A model machine has been made, and the factors influencing the piezoelectric feeder has been researched.The paper consists of six chapters, given as follows:Chapter 1 Introduction In the modern manufactures, product's automation and integration is more and more higher, vibration feeder in very important application on some field as industry ,agriculture and military affairs .A new type piezoelectric feeder which is also driven by piezoelectric bimorph but in different way is brought in this chapter.Chapter 2 The piezoelectricity physics base of the feederThis chapter mainly introduces development of piezoelectric china material from 1940, preparation technic plow of the series of PZT, six capability parameters of weighing piezoelectric china material capability which include dielectric constantε,elastic constant s, piezoelectric constant d,electromechanica- lly coupled coefficients K, mechanical quality factor Qm etc. capability characteristic of the series of PZT is given. The piezoelectric drive fundamental principles are piezoelectric effect and converse piezoelectric effect. Piezoelectric china material is a kind of elastic solids, it has four piezoelectric equations with different independent variable at various boundary conditions. Then it introduces four vibration modes, resonance characterstics and its equivalent electrocircuit of piezoelectricity china.Chapter 3 Piezoelectric bimorphsBased on thin plate elastic theory of piezoelectric and metal material combined with the Rayleigh-Ritz method, equation for the calculation of resonance frequencies and modes shape of bending modal of structure are derived for two different boundary conditions. As an example, a piezoelectric bimorph with elastic simple support and rigid slipping support is considered, the results obtained from formulation are in very good agreement with those by means of Finite Element Method. The consistency of the theory and numerical results proved the accuracy of the theory model.Chapter 4 Structure design and working theory of piezoelectric vibration feederThis section designs the structure and components of piezoelectric vibration feeder,make it and assemble a example machine. It analyze working theory of piezoelectric vibration feeder and movement state of the parts, connection of the parts and empty out time, movement and amplitude. Driving part of the feeder is analyzed by ANSYS software. We pick-up the front three rank vibration modes and stress analysis chart, elicit the curve of amplitude and frequency. It is matched with working condition of the feeder under the first vibration mode.From the analysis of impedance analysis instrument, we know the working frequency of feeder is between 99 Hz and 115 Hz .Chapter 5 Experimental analysis of piezoelectric feederBased on normal school experiment theory, we establish four factors and three level experimental table. We can get the most excellent combination which effect the feeder capability from the analysis of experiment results used the method of R. Then we choose the most excellent combination to do single experiment and can get a series of connection curve between different factors and frequency, voltage and feeder rates, voltage and amplitude, frequency and feeder rates, amplitude and feeder rates etc.Chapter 6 Conclusion and expectationThe chapter gives the main conclusion obtained in this paper and the prospect for next research.
