With the continual economic development, vehicle have become the indispensable substitute for walking and benefits the live. At the same time, also bring about negative effect, such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution and excess energy consumption etc.In the urban traffic system, the vehicle of fuel drive still play a leading role, whereas the vehicle of renewable energy drive can not be popularized in the near future because of technology etc. Therefore, vehicle fuel assumption will increase along with the continual increase of motor holders. So the important task for the motordom has been to work out the way to reduce vehicle fuel consumption in order to break the choke point of motor industry's development.To study the vehicle's fuel consumption rules during actual road move, analyze and evaluate vehicle fuel consumption quantificationally and set up fuel consumption model not only offer referrence for improving vehicle fuel consumption system, perfecting vehicle economization standard, but also play an important role in setting up urban transportation with sustainable development and energy's sustainable use etc.By now the oversea research on vehicle fuel consumption has been in process for many years. The research on the microcosmic fuel consumption model of the rules of combustion occurring inside the engine etc. has fairly developed. Whereas the research on evaluating vehicle fuel consumption combining actual road operations has not formed unified standards, many of which work at the fuel consumption under move performance in home state. The domestic researches on vehicle fuel consumption mainly center in institutes and universities, most of which just borrow models abroad or combine theoretical models, correct their parameters and then compare and analyze. Such models are weak in applications and accuracy. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to set up vehicle fuel consumption model which fits domestic actual road operations.Under urban road operations, vehicle fuel consumption research is not only relating to car performance, but also is closely related to traffic environment, the state of urban roads and characteristics of urban road traffic flow etc. This paper with the study of urban road of Changchun City selects actual fuel consumption, fuel consumption every hundred kilometres and actual fuel consumption per unit to elaborate vehicle fuel consumption analyzing and forecasting methods under urban road operations.The macroscopic forecasting model of vehicle fuel consumption is based on urban roads, therefore data of model should come from actual urban road fuel consumption test. The car fuel consumption real-time testing system set up for this research can solved such problem perfectly. The car fuel consumption testing system includes fuel consumption testing system, speed testing system and vehicle comprehensive performance testing platform. Speed measuring instrument uses advanced OESâ…¡no contact photoelectric speed transducer. Fuel consumption measuring instrument uses Coriolis' CMF&F instantaneous fuel consumption measuring instrument. Car fuel consumption testing system makes real-time acquisition of vehicle fuel consumption data, speed, acceleration and distance etc. The data acquired in the test provide basis for further analysis of operations affecting fuel consumption and establishment of macroscopic forecasting model.In order to set up vehicle fuel consumption macroscopic forecasting model under urban road operations, this research has conducted fuel consumption experiments on designed experimental road for many times , collected and preprocessed a mass of data. Statistics of experimental data are made according to time, distance, fuel consumption and speed, and some corresponding data are calculated. All of these provide a good foundation for further analysis and modeling.During the actual road test, there are a lot of factors affecting vehicle fuel consumption. My research only selects some comparatively important characteristics to analyze Jinbei Microbus' fuel consumption under different driving operations. Tests reveal that fuel consumption under acceleration driving operations is highest, cruise driving operations the second, deceleration driving operations the third, slack driving operations the least. Experimental vehicle's distribution characteristics under driving operations on the urban road are as follows: acceleration and deceleration driving operations account for a larger proportion and constant speed driving operations the smaller. Acceleration driving operations affects fuel consumption most. The comparison and analysis of Jinbei Microbus' fuel consumption during peak and flat period reveal that during peak period, vehicle fuel consumption value is largest and the frequency of acceleration and deceleration is comparatively high. The cars' speed and acceleration effects on vehicle fuel consumption indicate that acceleration is one of the important conditions affect vehicle fuel consumption. It is the acceleration that causes a bit high fuel consumption during car's driving.This paper analyses how speed and acceleration etc affect vehicle fuel consumption. On this basis, I use the software of SPSS to carry out linear evaluation, and adopt regression analysis'method to set up the steady fuel consumption model and the instantaneous fuel consumption model which is based on velocity and the fuel consumption model which is based on acceleration on different type of roads. The model error is under 10% and acts on forecasting fuel consumption's changes on urban roads. The model which is set up based on the testing data of Jinbei Microbus' fuel consumption has its limitations. Coefficient method can be available for temporary use when forecasting fuel consumption of other types of vehicle, that is car's fuel consumption is model multiplies the coefficient of car's type.This paper analyses many kinds of factors affecting fuel consumption on urban roads and sets up corresponding fuel consumption models which provide an efficient way for accurately forecasting the states of vehicle fuel consumption on the urban road. The researches will provide references for transportation and energy departments' improving vehicle energy saving control standards, provide basis for improving vehicle energy saving design.
