A Study On Building Environment Design For The Public Health Infrastructure Construction (PHIC)

As the major factor related to national health, the Public Health Infrastructure Construction (PHIC) is being given exclusive attention from every parts of society. Because of the fact that we are becoming an aged-population nation, the PHIC is not only about the requirement to hardware environment, but the higher requirements to user's needs for physiology, psychology and aesthetics. The subject of this article is the building's environment design for the polyclinic, which is the important component in PHIC.In the tendency towards caring humanity much more than past, the hospital business ideas and model have changed greatly, which is reflected in the design of hospital buildings environment. There is used much humane techniques in design, either interior or outdoors. Recently, the turn in health sense has made a strong impact on hospital buildings environment design, that health care is not regarded as from just for physical to mental treatment also. So happen in designing the environment where inpatients use the facilities to recreation. But the fact, in most cases, is functional design is first in practice. The article attempts to provide a humane design method, which could give all users (inpatients, visitors, the medicals) in hospital good conditions. That can be a practical trial in PHIC environment design.
