Research On The Creation Method Of Zhang Jinqiu's "New Style Of Tang" Architecture

Chinese ancient architecture is one of the four major traditional architectural systems in the world, along with European, Islamic and Indian architectures. It has a distinct characteristic in architectural style and techniques, and is the main component of Chinese traditional culture.However, with the coming of reform and opening up to the outside world, economic globalization and information era, how to inherit and carry forward tradition and utilize it in modem architectural design and enable Chinese architectural to develop smoothly in the process of modernization is a major topic in architectural design. Mrs Zhang Jinqiu, the he master of architectural design, who lives in Xi'an, uses her architectural design to study and prove the adaptability of her opinion in architectural design. She is the pioneer in exploring architectures with Chinese characteristics and representing the culture of the city. Not only does she contribute architectural design with traditional cultural characteristics to Xi'an, also she inherits and carries forward the tradition by using it in modern architectural design. Therefore, she was honored as the representative of "new-classicalism".The subject of this paper is Mrs Zhang's works with certain cultural background in historical districts, and the basis of the paper is the urban construction of the ancient city of Xi'an. By on-the-site research method, the author analyzes and evaluates her design from the architectural function, shape, structure, material and color in an all-round-way. The author primarily sums up her method of architectural design. Also, a discussion on her architectural design development and future tendency in the development of new urban construction of Xi'an is presented in the paper.
