A new kind of sliding base isolation system used for frame structure was put forward to get over the defects of traditional sliding base isolation structure in this paper, which the reactions of traditional sliding structure always is increased during the earthquake. And the dynamic characteristics and isolation performances were analyzed and researched.Based on the developments and present status of the control technical for structural vibration summarized and the research methods and application prospects introduced., the calculation method and equation of motion was established which used discontinuous Coulomb force friction and two freedom calculation model, and the discriminate condition of two critical status was put forward, and structure was analyzed by numerical dynamic Newmark -β method. They were the analyzed base for the new kind of sliding base isolation structure.In this paper, polytetrafluoroethylene-steel plate was chosen for the sliding support element, and the U shape steel plate was chosen for sliding-limit and energy-absorbed element. Based on the performance research of the element, the affected factors of the parameters of energy-absorbed element were analyzed and the ranges of geometric parameters were put forward. The basic parameters will be provided to the actual project.The new kind of sliding base isolation system was applied to the frame structure, and sliding base isolation elements were placed reasonable. According to the analysis of the natural characteristics by SAP2000 and contrast of four kind of structures in acceleration, shear force of base and sliding displacement, the analyzed results showed the advantages in performance of the new kind of sliding base isolation structure. At the same time, the earthquake wave was chosen and adjusted, and the performance of sliding base isolation in different stages, different grounds, different friction coefficient and different rigidity of the energy-absorbed element was shown. It can be used for kinds of actual projects designing.
