The method of developing AWG with SOPC technique is studied in this paper, and design of DDS Module and the low-level development of the control system are discussed.DDS Module is kernel of the AWG, and comprised of DDS component, phase-amplitude convert circuits and the component's driver. Firstly, DDS principle is introduced and analysed by Simulink, and then the DDS component and consreponding phase-amplitude convert circuits are realized by Verilog HDL on FPGA, which constitute DDS module. This DDS module can be used conveniently to produce arbitrary waveform of 64K point and 16 bits amplitude scale. Meanwhile it has many output functions such as FM, sweep, burst and so on.The control system's low-level developments are comprised of two parts: the construction of customized NiosII system and the transplant of the μC/OS-II and μC/GUI. In the construction of customized NiosII system, A LCD Controller and a Keyboard Controller are implenmnented on FPGA, and the customized NiosII system is constructed with DDS component, standard controller and peripheral in development platform. The LCD Controller is designed to work as a master device which can works well without soft drivers. The keyboard controller can ellimiate the wobble by hardware and supplies the keyvalue to CPU directly. In the transplant of μC/OS-II, the influence caused by the interrupt procession of NiosII is discussed and transplant method is proposed. In the transplant of μC/OS-II, the configuration of LCDConf.h and the implementation of the interface between the μC/GUI and μC/OS-11 are discussed while the LCD display effect of Widgets in μC/GUI is improved.Test results indicate: the functions of arbitrary waveform production, modulation, sweep, burst and so on are achieved. Customized NiosII system, μC/OS-II and μC/GUI on the customized NiosII system operate well.
