As one electric tank car and it is designed by Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Co., SF31904W is rebuilt on the base of the self-unload car of 108 ton, which is used on the mining. But the disadvantage is that its swing-scope of body is big when running in the bend road or mine area, even on the main-road with preferable road surface. This paper does a lot of analysis and research aiming at the body instability of the tank car,and brings forward some improved measures.This paper uses finite element to research on the relative movement and anti- impulse performance between the water tank and water, and it calculates the impulse load of water tank under different working circs, with which the design intension of water tank can be ensured. In the calculation, the total mass and character of suspension has been loaded on the water tank model, by both of which it can analyze the movement character, distortion and stress status of suspension. With distortion status of suspension imported to rigid multi-body dynamical model, it can analyze the car's steering stability.The analysis method includes simulation and experiment test, and the analysis results show if the number of clapboards is increased or the thickness of clapboards is decreased, it can reduce the shake of car and librations of water. If the rigidity of rear suspension is probably increased to avoid the resonance peak value between the car and water tank, it can reduce the shake of water tank.This paper provides a lot of theory and the improved measures for car design, which have some value of extend application.
