1. Significance of studyIn order to get the performances of the I.C. engine, then to prove them, the steady and the transient parameters must be acquired and analyzed precisely in real time. By now, the data acquisition and analysis system for I.C. engine is consist of SCM or data acquisition card ,which can not meet the needs of precise ,real-time, convenience and reliability very well. Considering the acquiring transient parameters acquisition characteristics, absorbing and using for reference the excellence of the relative products in and out, the data acquisition and analysis system for I.C. engine based on DSP is developed. The system's CPU is TMS320F2812, which is much better then the SCM in the speed of acquiring the signals and the processing the data.2. Universal Project of SystemBy the analyzing the performance parameters of the I.C.engine, the A/D resolution , sample frequence, sample manner and the size of the memory is fixed. Then the hardware for the system is designed based on the resource in the lab, the figure 1 shows the system's principle.The system is consisted of the upper controller and the down controller. The down controller CPU is DSP, after initiate the system the data can be acquired, and pre-processed, then it would be stored in the RAM or send to the upper controller by SCI, the upper controller would process the data, show it ,save it or send out it and so on.3.
