Study On Project Management Of Chengdu "Lvzhou Park" (Phase Ⅰ)

Project management is a newly developed field of management subject, which is applied widely in modern society. Since project management being introduced into China, it has played an important role in all fields, accordingly management system and management methods have made continuous exploration and improvement, also created a lot of successful experience and specific practice in project management. Nevertheless, the project management in China is still a young career now, therefore, project managers also need to continue to improve and innovate the combination of theory and practice.The object of this paper is the first phase of the project Chengdu "Lvzhou Park". The research is about how to use the theory, method and technique of project management during the organization, planning, and application of the "Lvzhou Park" Project and how to make full use of the function of project management in solving all kinds of problems when it is used to settle operating program. The aim of the paper is to find out the problems and weakness during the practice of the project "Lvzhou Park", expecting to utilize project management theory and methods to further improve the project management of the project "Lvzhou Park".Firstly we introduce the basic theory of the project and project management, next recall the development process of project management, and then linking the actual fact of the "Lvzhou Park", we give a description and analysis of the owners and background of the project and at the same time carry out the design of the first-phase project, the target system, and the establishment of organizations of the project. The most important part is the application of project management in schedule, costs, quality controlling and risk management. Finally, the paper makes comments on the implementation of project management, sums up the successful factors and lessons in order to improve the management in future.
