The following defects exist in the teaching process of micro-computer relay protection: different experiments require the use of micro-computer relay protection equipment of different device brands and models;the port definition of different devices and the internal program design are different;the current micro-computer relay protection experiment does not use the real power system waveform.Such problems result in application of real equipments in experimental teaching which severely limit the effect and increase the experimental funding.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop a universal micro-computer relay protection experimental teaching platform that simulates micro-computer relay protection devices of different brands on a single experimental teaching platform and can carry out multiple micro-computer relay protection experiments.Firstly,this paper studies the general micro-computer relay protection experimental teaching system architecture,expounds the components of the relay protection experimental platform and their respective functions.Based on this,the main functions and operating characteristics of the host computer,the relay protection experimental platform,and the power generator are detailed.Secondly,based on the basic characteristics of testing signal in the micro-computer relay protection experiment,this paper presents an algorithm that can simulate and track the power signal of the power grid,and a method to determine the running accuracy of the micro-computer relay protection device based on the feedback and comparative analysis.The communication protocol between the host computer and the power generator is designed tocontrolsignal output.Then,a modular structure model of the platform is proposed.The digital operation moduleand thepower collection & control module are studied.The platform of hardware and software modularization is developed and realized.The micro-computer relay protection algorithms that meet the design requirements of the platform arealso developed.Finally,the hardware and software mapping technology is studied to realize the hardware and software function mapping of relay protective devices in common power systems.And interfaces of common relay protection device is taken to verify the platform by examples of starting logic in low-voltage line protection and three-stage zero sequence current protection.
