There are many reasons for hydraulic maladjustment in water supply system. The units of design and use always employ increasing the rate of flow of water pump, and the result of which induces to increase the expenses and also wastes energy extremely. Therefore, choosing and configuring properly water pumps in water supply system may bring considerable energy saving effect.This thesis first presents the analysis of condition of the parallel connection and series of water pumps. On the basis of it,the two constant speed regulation ways in water supply system,i.e,throttling and variable speed regulation of the pump are analyzed.Then,some discussion is made to determine the applicable range of speed regulation equipment through frequency variation in water supply system.And then ,contraposing the reasons of the capacity of current water pump being on the high side in water supply net,the paper discusses the principles carefully we must comply with when selecting properly the characteristic parameters of water pump.It is a very important mean for water supply system to regulate water flow by regulating speed of pumps through frequency variation.In this part,the thesis first presents the energy saving principle of speed regulation of pumps through frequency variation.According to the law of the least twain multiplication,the paper educes theoretically the characteristic curves of different setup schemes of water pumps,and uses MATLAB engineering software to protract corresponding characteristic curves.Then,an analysis is made on the energy saving principles and efficiency of different setup schemes of water pumps setting speed regulation through frequency variation.Then,the paper diagrammatizes the variable speed range of speed regulation pumps through frequency variation.The thesis selects a classical project, and then, comparisons about energy saving effect are made on the different setup schemes of circulation pumps setting speed regulation through frequency variation by calculation and analysis.Lastly, the paper solves the optimum speed regulation range of the variable speed pump in this water supply system.
