The great development of control technology of stepping motor, which makes the system integrate design of the stepping motor driver possible, is promoted by the rapid development of MCU technology, especially the emergence of high-performance PLD, by the development of manufacturing processes of stepping motor, and by the foundation of various advanced subdivision control resource of stepping motor.The subdivision driving of three-phase hybrid stepping motor is studied profoundly based on the mathematical model in this paper. The relationship between the three-phase hybrid stepping motor and the synchronous motor is studied. The three-phase hybrid stepping motor is regarded as a kind of stepping synchronous motor. The space voltage vector is introduced to control the stepping motor.According to this design, it is complete of the hardware of choice and design of the driver system of the three-phase hybrid stepping motor. Logical control circuit is mostly predigested with FPGA as the core control unit which integrates the driver module and control module. With the current feedback module designed with IR2175, three-phase winding current can follow current reference strictly. By applying IGBT, the volume of the product can be reduced dramatically and the antijamming capabilities of the product can be promoted. Meanwhile, according to the requirement of the product, a set of simple and reliable hardware protection circuits is designed.Modular design method is used in the whole design process, describing the hardware circuit with VHDL, comprehensive layout with the integrated tools of Xilinx ISE, and simulating with the third party simulation software, Modelsim. The capability of motor control is realized by 32-bit MCU with MicroBlaze core, which makes full use of the resource of FPGA, optimizes procedures, and enhances the frequency of the modules and the precision of the chip.Based on the above theory, the integrated driver system of the three-phase hybrid stepping motor is developed with XC3S400 of Xilinx as the core. The frame, the hardware and the software of the whole system are introduced in detail.
