As the water resources supply becomes more and more serious on the earth, it is necessary and unavoidable to convert the sewage into a kind of resource. Our country has ruled definitely that encouraging the power plant to utilize the reclaimed water from the municipal sewage treatment plant, which gives a favorable policy support to the sustained utilization of the water resources and reusing of the reclaimed water. To resolve the problem of water shortage and fulfill the object of sustained development, China has done a lot of work about the reusing of reclaimed water in technology exploring, demonstration and popularization, and propagating in medias, and has made delightful progress in many fields.Practice at home and abroad in the process of technology exploring about the reusing of reclaimed water as cooling water for the power plant indicates that the quality of reclaimed water after deep treatment can fully meet the demand, but how to guarantee the quantity of reclaimed water needed is seldom researched and analyzed. So the quantity of reclaimed water, reliability, and the methods of how to guarantee this have become the chief restricting factors in the popularization of reusing the reclaimed water to the power plant.This paper takes the project of'mengjin power plant'as example. First, confirming the restricting factors and advantages of the application of the reclaimed water by having an all-around analyse about the quantity of reclaimed water, water quality, price and level of guaranty needed by the power plant; second, analyzing the changing rules of the quantity of sewage got by the sewage treatment plant by field data. The scale of the adjusting reserve project satisfying the safe and economical operation of the power plant can be got by taking the active adjusting calculation. The calculation takes ninety-seven percent of the quantity of water treated by hour in dry days as water inflow on the basis of water balance theory and formula; Third, calculating the water reserve and the fresh water spare coefficient when using reclaimed water as the water source in one year by analyzing the statistical data about...
