Container multimodal transport is an advanced form of transport organizing, and it is the developing trend of freightage. In the outline of the eleventh five-year plan for national economic and social development, it was definitely put forward that the connections of different transportation means to carry out"non-stop express"should be strengthened. It brought forward a higher request for the container transport organization. At present works over the container non-stop express transportation are few in interrelated studies on container multimodal transport. Therefore, on the basis of the achievements of this field, the thesis systematically discussed the theory and methods of the container non-stop express transportation.It discusses the concept, the formation and the infection factors of container multimodal non-stop express transportation. It was indicated that containerization, multimodal transport and technology is the foundation of the formation and development of"non-stop express transportation". And it was pointed out that the infection factors of container non-stop express transportation include administer system, operation flow, basic establishment, transport infrastructure system, and so on.It analyses and reengineers the operation flow of container non-stop express transportation, it was pointed that the methods to actualize non stop express transportation include organizing container chain transport,harmonizing task time, strengthening management of station, using EDI technology.Based on the idea of"non-stop express transportation", this paper discusses the container transport rationalization problem, sets up the transport routing optimizing model which takes into account the time factor referring to the minimal total carriage, and carries out the analysis of optimizing case which can be concluded that the waiting time of container at transfer station can be reduced effectively by harmonizing the working times of all kinds of transportation means.It uses the program evaluation and review techniques"PERT"to analyze the import operation flow of port's container, and gives some advises about the work optimizing for the container field and station.It researches on the non-stop express organizing approach to achieve the container multimodal transport.
