The structure and function of long span bridges have been more and more complex in recent years. It is necessary to establish the structure health monitoring system of long span bridges to ensure the stucture safety and economic maintenance/ safety runing. At present, a good many of the methods of damnification-check and structure evaluation are based on the exact structure models.However, in the established stucture-health-monitoring system, the information of original structure fingerprint is far away from perfection so that it is difficulty to establish an exact structure-analysis model.Thus there are many uncertainties and difficulties in structure state identification and safety analysis and evaluation/establishment of maintainence scheme.The author has participated in the research of the stucture health monitoring system of Runyang Bridge which is composed of original fingerprint databank system,data collection and monitoring system,structure damnification alarm system and structure state evaluation system. The original fingerprint databank system,which is of similar information and sober data structure/friendly interface, is present in the paper. In the paper the author introduced the technique of object-oriented programming to the establishment of original fingerprint databank system which contains a great lot of information and data of the stages of design/construction/running of Runyang Bridge. The paper attempts to establish a mathmatics evaluation model consentaneous to the actual structure state in the research of the stucture health monitoring system, so that the structure state identification/damnification estimation and safety evaluation can be accurate implemented and scientific management and maintenance to the bridge can be carried out.
