| The construction and operation of expressway, while accelerating the regional economic development, brings relative higher pressure to local ecological environment. The sustainable development of expressway, especially the environmental sustainable development of the construction and operation of expressway, is listed as a key strategic measure to realize the sustainable development of communication and transportation in "21st Century China Agenda". It is a transform of environmental protection strategy from inactive state to active state.The construction of indicator system of expressway sustainable development is a necessary measure to evaluate the environmental sustainable development of expressway, an important part of the expressway environmental suitable development theory, an effective tool for the expressway constructor and operator to manage the construction and sustainable development of expressway. However, the studies on the indicator system of expressway sustainable development presently are dispersed with different emphasis respectively. There is no comprehensive indicator system focusing on the sustainable development to evaluate the expressway sustainable development. Under this background, the subject of this paper aims to construct a relatively comprehensive indicator system of expressway environmental sustainable development.Based on the research demands of expressway environmental sustainable development, this paper, while further discussing the environmental impact and protection measures during expressway construction and operation period, analyzing and summarizing present domestic studies on the expressway environmental sustainable development, constructs a model to evaluate the expressway environmental sustainable development. This paper also analyzes the Shanghai Nanjing Expressway and its expansion as a case study and evaluates the environmental sustainable development degree of Shanghai Nanjing Expressway and its expansion. |
