Digital power meter is an instrument which was used to measure voltage, current, watt, var and powerfactors of electrical network. And it takes a very important role in electrical industry. This artical tells about how to design the measurement module, IEEE802.11b based wireless networks module of a wireless power meter. And the whole artical was divided into two parts.The first part is about how to design a USB wireless adapter based power meter. The main task in this part is how to design the hardware and software of the data gathering, data processing modules and the how to install an usb wireless adapter in the system.
