Research On BOM Data Generation And Management In Agile Manufacturing System

As the core data of a manufacturing system, BOM provides the accurate, integrated and accordant data source to the system, which has significant effect on the reliable operation of the system. It is important to realize the Agile Manufacturing mode. The study on the method of BOM data generation and management in Agile Manufacturing system plays an important role in the promotion of the manufacturing system's agility, stability and accuracy.The idea of BOM data model designing based on single product data source has been adopted aiming at the problem of data disagreement caused by repeating operations in the process of BOM multi-views generation. Combined with the different requirements for BOM on the different periods in manufacturing system, the model of transformation and data format have been constructed. The union data foundation has been provided for the different kinds of BOM which is required in the different periods of the product life cycle.The STEP neutral exchange file is adopted aiming at the lack of compatibility in different CAD systems. On the analysis of the structure and expression method of STEP, the STEP entities related to BOM data extraction has been analyzed. The attributes and relations of the STEP entities have also been researched.The BOM data lexical analyzer aiming at the STEP file has been designed by using the technology of data extraction. According to the attributes of entities in the STEP neutral exchange file, the algorithm of BOM data extraction has been decided. Based on the BOM data extraction from the STEP neutral exchange file in CATIA, the differences of the STEP neutral exchange file's entity attributes has been analyzed in detail. The BOM data extraction models of the different CAD systems have been designed to ensure the accuracy and accordance of data extraction in the different CAD systems. Finally, case study is taken to prove the validness ofthe extraction method.The prototype system of BOM data generation and management system in agile manufacturing was developed with JSP and SQL SERVER database technology. It is demonstrated that the method is feasible and valid after the test of the system.
