For Agile Manufacturing System For Product Data Management

PDM (Product Data Management) is a key enable technology to integrate and manage all the factors including information, processes, teams and personnel related to products. With the development of AM (Agile Manufacturing), higher requirement of PDM is put forward by enterprise. PDM should be able to support the information integration, process integration among the relevant organizations so that the organization can improve its agility, form virtual enterprise (VE) with other organizations quickly, and realize Win-Win both in cooperation and satisfying the changeful requirement of customer.Carrying out from the conception, work principle, and integrated connotation of PDM, how to realize the information integration among organizations with PDM is analyzed. And the WEB-based whole integrated framework and the three levels to realize application integration are discussed.Next, the conception, connotation and philosophy of AM are analyzed, AM's realization-virtual enterprise is studied, and the characteristic of product development and specific requirement of product development to information are discussed comprehensively.Based on the achievement above-studied, a method to solve VE's requirement to PDM applying CORBA and WEB technology is proposed. And the architecture of AM-PDM is developed. Also, some critical technologies of AM-PDM are studied.At last, directing on the theory research of this paper and according to the specific requirement and developing conditions of an organization, some function modules of AM-PDM are developed.
