Steam power plant is a complicated thermodynamic system, the economical efficiency of operation not only depends on unit efficiency, but also correlates with mode of operation and auxiliary equipments configuration of thermodynamic system. This thesis mainly researched boiler feed pump turbine (BFPT), and analyzed the economical efficiency and rationality of using turbine to drive feed pump of above 200MW unit; considering the mode of unit operation, created edge conditions of feed pump operation, calculated pump parameters with similarity rule; created a new mathematical model of speed-variable pump, it offered the foundation of pump efficiency monitoring and optimizing operation; after calculating pump and turbine thermal parameters in variant working conditions, analyzed the relation between the parameters and unit load, and economical efficiency of BFPT with different modes of operation, it is useful to the optimizing operation for the power plant.
