Most of assistant relay setting software widely used in power system is commonly adaptive to transmission system, which rarely used in power plant, and cannot realize the auto verifying function. In most power plants, relay setting still depends on man-made, and it has huge work. Aims at those problems, the author researches and exploits a"relay protection settings and verifying analysis system for electrical devices in power plant"in this paper. Using UML to make the modeling of this system describes the static state structure and dynamic doing of this system.According to the inner structure characteristics of power plant, this system completes the following functions: editing primary connecting diagram for power plant, establishment of the database, topology/connecting analysis, fault calculation, relay protection setting and the result shows. This paper adopted the visual and object-oriented program method, and presented the topology and fault calculation results on the interface for users to observe and verify. This software integrated visualization and universality synthetically, and have the merits of intuition,simplicity and practicality.
