Since the ninetieth decade of twentieth century, the development of computer causes the revolution of every domain. The ship industry is also influenced, and needs more and more higher level of automation. Second, the development of fieldbus also takes its abroad application. Third, PLCs takes relays over become the main tache of automation, and makes the control system more safe, prompt and credibility. In the current voyage, the working situations and parameters are always changeable in every time, in order to get more information and can control them in Engine Control Room, we need a real time and reliably monitoring and alarm system. This is the importance of the system. My system makes use of "modularize" ideology, and makes the system, off several modules: data acquisition module, communication module, control module and display module. In my design, we use PLCs as the main unit, and make use of fieldbus to gather the parameters via data acquisition module, then send them to PLCs, and display them on the terminal at last. All above satisfied the requests of "steel ship on sea building criterion 2006". In this paper, it discussed the basic theory of data acquisition, including the theory of the measuring bridge , the temperature transition, V/I transform and the anti-disturb steps. On the other hand, in this paper also introduce the development of PLCs and its strongpoint. Another point in my paper is the PROFIBUS, and we bring forward the hardware and software designation, then carry out the theory. Over the whole designation, we assimilate lots of experience in domain and overseas, consult plenty of messages, otherwise, we use SIEMENS slot PLCs and STEP 7 software, and debug the program in WINDOWS circumstance.
