Three-dimensional digital highway intersection model is quite comlexity, routine method which make use of the common modeling software consume lots of manpower and material resources in doing these same works.Employing the program to fulfill these works by importing the design data is a saving job.Real-time Scene Simulation Technology is an important part of Computer Simulation Technology; Three-dimensional visual intersection is that application in the simulation and representation of highway intersection. It takes the three-dimensional digital highway intersection model as the visual simulation object, and observes it real-time and interactively from any point of view. Using this created visual simulated scene can give designer and decision-maker a direct and three-dimension impression, so the whole quality of highway intersection design, the harmony of horizontal, vertical alignment and cross-section,the status of driving can be assessed as exactly as possible.The first part of the paper introduces the three-dimensional modeling technique, gives the way of making program in dealing with the design data and modeling the highway intersection in AutoCAD.The second part of the paper introduces the visual simulation technique, and illuminates the program of visual simulation of the highway intersection base on the digital model. The paper brings interactive real-time visual simulation and visual simulation along roadway.The program of highway intersection modeling was the production of Visual C++ and ObjectARX library in AutoCAD.The program of highway intersection program was made in Visual C++ with OpenGL library. Both of them were completely adopt Object-Oriented programming method, so they are easy to be understood and expansion.
