Garden Shows: Planning Strategies And After-use

A garden show, also called garden festival or horticultural EXPO, is a fair with strong garden and horticultural theme and presence. So far, there are many kinds of garden shows in many countries, with different sizes and levers, so to China. These exhibitions not only absorb large number of visitors in its opening day, but also bring big chances to the grounds.With the development and changes of the society, the purpose of taking a garden show and its planning strategies also vary and become various, the same trends occur in theafter-use. Actually, different planning strategies and after-use forms of garden shows, will bring different functions, results, and influences. Many garden shows, are very important for society, city, and profession of landscape architecture and horticulture.With retrospection on some important examples in all of the worlds, this paper takes planning strategies and after-use as the studying object, and also sum up modes of existing after-use. In addition, there are some suggestions to the after-use mode choices.
