Garden Exhibition (Garden Show), also called the Garden Festival or the InternationalHorticultural Exposition (EXPO), is an exhibition event which based on the theme ofgardening and horticulture with Festival. The distinctive theme is a very prominent feature ofthe garden exhibition. The theme of Exhibition guides all levels of planning and design sndplanning and design need to respond to the theme. By collating and analyzing the relevantimformation, a clear concept of the title of "Garden Show" and "theme" are convinced. Startingfrom the point of view of the landscape planning and design, summed up the planning anddesign method of expression the theme of garden show with domestic and foreign examples.Firstly, collected information to lay the foundation for the framework of the theme of thegarden exhibition. Then introduced the quality of the site that a theme needs. The overalldesign from the macroscopic and detailed design levels to explore the overall layout of theexhibition park as well as the construction of the space system; detailed design level throughimport, the expression of the theme, show landscape design and new materials. After use of thegarden show is mentioned in this article, efficient and reasonable after use is also an expressionof the theme, it will also needs to focus on the design. The fifth chapter of the article using theEXPO2011Xi’an China as a specific case to demonstrate the above point of view, make thepaper more convincing. Theory to guide practice to design the Tangshan Exhibition Park inperson, so that the theory embedded in practice. Theory combined with practice, to explore themethod of planning and design of the Garden show in order to provide information andintellectual support for other research.
