With the development of economy and the increasing of urban population , metro has become an important approach to settle the urban traffic problems. But in recent years, there appealed sequent underground engineering accidents, which draws a great deal of attention of people into the construction quality risk of underground engineering. Especially important in the study of the construction risk are the metro stations, which are the most complex and expensive parts in the whole metro engineering.Under this circumstance, this thesis firstly discusses the type and the construction methods of metro stations, concluding that cut and cover method is the main construction method. Therefore our study focuses on the metro station constructed by cut and cover method. The key and difficulty of risk management lies in the risk identification and assessment. The paper identifies the construction risk sources from foundation excavation engineering and structural engineering, and the risk sources of foundation excavation engineering are more important, because they are often the danger sources of metro stations. Then we employ the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process method that combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, to evaluate the risk in foundation pit of metro stations. Picked out are several risk factors which are the most important ones for foundation excavation engineering. At last, a series of strategies are put forward to reduce the metro stations construction risk.Based on the study of metro station construction risk management, we can improve our evaluation, prediction, prevention and control over the risk factors during the process of construction, decrease the possibility of risks' occurance. Therefore, this study is meaningful practically and theoretically.
