With the acceleration of urbanization, the rapidly growth of population, thetraffic demand between suburban and downtown is increasing at rush-hour. Thetraditional mode already can’t satisfy people’s demands, and vigorous expansion of themetro project is imperative. While there are a number of risk factors in the metroconstruction process, and they can induce construction accident easily. In order toreduce the project risk effectively, and enhance risk response capabilities, it iscompulsory to conduct a risk assessment to improve the safety of metro constructionprocess.This paper firstly introduces the basic theory of risk management, thetechnologies of metro construction, and the development and the status of riskmanagement at home and abroad. The author uses these concepts and methods intothe risk assessment of China’s metro construction, and finds the proper process andmodel for the risk assessment of China’s metro construction.The paper counts and analyzes the metro construction accidents to study accidentcauses and occurrence regularity, and classifying the accidents according to the causes,the grades and the types of the accidents. Then, analyzing the risk factors of―Man,machine, material, institution, environment‖. According to the classification of riskfactors and the principle of selecting indicators, consulting experts to extract the riskevaluation index, and build index system.This paper focuses on the risk assessment of metro construction model. It has acertain reference value to reduce risk and to guide risk assessment process. Accordingto the index system of metro construction risk assessment, the paper uses AHP todetermine the weight of evaluation, and establishes a model of metro constructionbased on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Then, the model is used to assessthe risk level of03tenders in Beijing metro line14. And through analysing theassessment results, it proposes some methods to reduce the risk of the tenders.
