The Application Of RFID Technology In Supply Chain Managerment

At the end of the last century . lots of semiconductor technology innovation has lowed the cost of RFID tag and maken RFID technologyRFID technology application is of the greatest potential in the field of Supply chain management, and has long been concerned by manufacturing enterprises , Logistics enterprises and retail enterprises etc. Many large companies and enterprises also put forward and experiment a variety of application modes , which have been based on its actual situations. Although some remarkable effects have been achieved upon the segments of the supply chain management (for example, logistics center) .However it has not explored an effective entire chain application mode yet..Based on the above, the author put forward an entire chain application mode of RFID technology of the supply chain management field, and Elaborate both the application measures and the resulting benefits from manufacturing enterprises (the beginning of the supply chain) to retail enterprises (the end of the supply chain). In this thesis, firstly it has introduced the RFID-related principles and applications all over the world. And then the RFID application modes of the various segments of supply chain management are particularly discussed in the Chapter III .Afterwards, through case studies in Chapter IV -The experimental effects on air baggage tracking and management of RFID technology, confirm the outstanding advantages of RFID on tracking of items and information collection automation of management fields.
