Since the reformation, with the economy and traffic volume increasing worse, the high way construction of our country has been in high speed development stage. Year by year, the mileage of the high that new set up, rectified and extended of our country increased rapidly. The construction material that adapts to the requiring of pavement building also gradually became more critical, for example, many regions lately set up the highway and reformed the old pavement engineering urgently need a great deal of gravel, stone to reinforce the roadbed and construct the pavement face, this caused a few regions to appear the phenomenon of stone material being tightly lack even dried up. Adding the long distance of transporting of gravel and stone, the cost to construct new pavement has been consumedly raised, also resulting in plant drive reduce, soil erosion, the environment deterioration, and a series of problem of etc.The normal material of building pavement reduced immediately, then price rise continuously, this urges the highway construction that we want to look for continuously to build pavement the material lately to adapt the fast development. The soil stabilizer is one of the main development orientations of the pavement. Currently, the stabilizer to reinforce the soil has a great deal of usage in the large engineering abroad, and the long-term usage function result is good. But after stabilizing in domestic research, the soil had some defect, such as the strength of soil was usually low, the anti- penetration ability and freeze resisting ability were bad, etc. Most of the stabilized soil can not reach the request of engineering to durable. Owing to this, this text made use of the soil stabilizer of Base-Seal that produced by international limited company of the American Base-Seal, turned to the stabilizing research and experiment of the soil of Changchun region, of which the typical model are powder-quality and light-second glue.The soil stabilizer of Base- Seal was in the usage formally in 1986, it is already having the history for 20 years up to now. Nowadays, it was continuously adopt in America, Africa, Australia, Europe and Asia. Currently, the soil stabilizer of Base- Seal has already been used in local Jiangsu, Yunnan, Henan, Guangxi province for over six years, the outcomes were all very good. The main purpose of this text research is to examine whether the stabilized soil of Changchun region can be used in the construction the basic level and the bottom basic level of high grade pavement.For thoroughly understanding the characteristic of the Base- Seal soil stabilizer, this text resulted from the successful experience of abroad in building pavement with soil stabilizer, by experiment indoor and outdoor, to test the unconfined suppress stress of the stabilized soil with different aggregate rate, so as to fix the optimization aggregate rate, and then applied the unconfined suppress stress experiment, indirect draught resistance experiment, indoor return play the amount of mold experiment, permeate experiment, freeze- melt cycling experiment, the stability of water experiments etc.Carrying on above-mentioned experiment, this text gets following important conclusions: The soil stabilized by Base- Seal could get better performance when stabilized with lime together. The soil stabilized by Base- Seal can raise effectively the indirect- pull function of the soil that highly stabilized. After stabilized with it, the lime reinforced soil not only possessed high early-crack resisting ability, but also keeping good fineable increasing velocity of this ability. The soil stabilized by Base- Seal had good effect in raising the Elastic modulus and strengthening the strength of pavement structure. The destruction resisting ability will be enhanced as the age prolonging; it will prove important significance in improving the loading ability of pavement. The soil stabilized by Base- Seal will meet the requirement of common channel engineering to resist the penetration, as the age going on, the coefficient of penetration goes down to lower gradually. The anti-frozen ability of the soil stabilized by Base- Seal will increase as the cycling times increase, with the press strength of the soil coming down. The soil samples that no plastic film protecting losing more strength during the experiment, at the same time the anti-frozen effect is very common. The soil with plastic film protecting, however, has great effect on anti-frozen ability, can attain the request that the general engineering enquires.The soil stabilized by Base- Seal has good effect on stability of water, as the time goes up, the decreasing of water stabilization coefficient of the soil becomes lower, strength losing gets smaller, and goes to level off gradually, will not appear two times muddy phenomenon. The soil stabilized by Base- Seal has the certain holdout dry- wet circulation alternation ability, but to the soil of experiment in this text, the resisting ability effect of dry- wet circularly is so common.With the conclusions above- mentioned from the experiment, current text appraised the pavement performance of the soil stabilized by Base- Seal, and then provided the basis for the application of it in the pavement basal layer. Experiment can get every index of the pavement performance of the soil stabilized by Base- Seal, but the final purpose of this topic is to make sure whether the soil stabilized by Base- Seal can be used in the pavement basal layer or the under basal layer. Therefore, the other main content aims at utilizing the results of the soil stabilized by Base- Seal and lime, and designing the pavement structure with emulation method. While satisfy the premise of various designs standard, this text put forward four kinds feasible pavement face structure designs. On the basic of feasibilities, this text carried on the designing by emulation method of pavement structure with the soil stabilized by Base- Seal, then compared and made research analysis about the results, discussed the feasibility and economic of applying the soil in the pavement basic level in this text. With the emulating and designing, this text concluded that, the soil stabilized by Base- Seal could satisfy the requirement of the basic level pavement under the regulate traffic volume. By an emulation calculating, it can satisfy the design request completely, and should grow the new road- face structure to more economical. Accompany with the above-mentioned problem resolve, the application of stabilizer in stabilizing soil will be a kind of new trial within the highway construction, and a lately bright bit. It can not only extend the scope of material in repairing road, resolved the difficult problem about the road construction in stone- lack region effectively, but also will make road repairing to become more environment- protecting, more simple, more valid benefit.
