The automatic division of traffic control sub-area is a very important part of ITS system,and is a popular topic nowadays in the field of traffic control,at the same time,research on the automatic division of traffic control sub-area is very essential to the traffic control system and it can combine with traffic abduction system to optimize its effect on the traffic condition at large.Taking"the key technology research of next generation intelligentizing traffic control system"of 863 national projects as the research platform, The essay did some researches on the division of traffoc control sub-area and traffic flow theory.After collecting and working over lots of reference materials,the essay does some theoretical analysis and research on the traffic flow,traffic flow theory and traffic control of the signal system,at the same time,I accomplish a project called"automatic division of traffic sub-area"and finish that tasks below:1) Illustrate the influence that traffic theory has on traffic control,and bring forward a new model"acceptance gap model";2) revise some shortcomings of previous rsearch papers,such as:do some research on the"division of large traffic area",work out a detailed explaination of"division of traffic control sub-area"from a more realistic perspective,and bring forward a new model to solve the problem of"division of traffic control sub-area".3) Modify the mistakes and errors that previous papers regarding this field of"division of traffic control sub-area",and make them more desirable for the practical engineering use. 4) This essay brings up the method,which is to divide and integrate the sub-area combining sub-areas'control strategies and control method of every intersection that need to be absorbed or deleted by some sub-area,this method of division is very worthwhile to do some researches;5) Creat something new--searching modelwhich can make the division and integration of sub-area more reasonable and scientific;6) Bring forward a new method of division and integration of sub-area:"the research on the automatic division and integration of traffic control sub-area based on the genetic algorithm",which is scientificly valuable in some way;7) Have many creative thoughts on many details on the division and integration of sub-area and division principles;The essay try to combine the theory with the practical appliance,however,owing to the shortage of time,I didn't try it in the actual engineering use.The subject that this paper takes is a good subject,the subject has lots of stuff that needs improving,which is:(1)looking for the precise method to divide the traffic control sub-area,there are lots of problems only utilizing the mathematic method to divide the sub-area, because I don't take the specific control strategies of every intersection into consideration,which can result in the big gap between the optimization model and the model that I establish.(2)need to establish more convincing sub-area division principles,and it'd be better if I can combine different and effective division principles together to make the division of sub-area perfect and efficient and it will get better if I can analyse the different control strategies under different traffic control sub-areas and interconnectivity between traffic control sub-areas and all the intersections that need to be pushed out or absorbed.
