A Study On The General's Bureau In Huhhot City

In our traditional architecture, the Bureau construction is one kind of special micro-shrink version palace construction, which is favored to the regional management political power by the feudal dynasty. Regardless of province office alley or country office alley, it was the highest representative for local construction technique and wealth at that time. As an important building in the north nomadic culture area, Huhhot General's Bureau, the object for study in the article, was a place where the governer of a border province dealed with the border affairs, the local governmental affairs and his families lived in. It is typical north official Bureau construction. It was also been the combined product of border rules, bureau regulations, building hierarchy system in Qing Dynasty. Till modem times, Huhhot General's Bureau had important status in its city. Now it is national key cultural relics unit. So it has the important research value. According to study on Huhhot General's Bureau, it is the chief purposes of this paper that the study results offers a part of basic data for the study on an ancient bureau building in our country and provides a part of data and basis as possible as exhaustive for the protection and using of this research noumenon.Base on the research results in such disciplines as architecture, sociology, the ancient history of china, the modern history of china ect., and from view of Architecture, this paper have studied the building of Huhhot General's Bureau, from several following parts especially: The basic theoretical research of the thesis is that, on the basis of consulting border rules, bureau regulations, building hierarchy system in Qing Dynasty, the Huhhot General's Bureau is defined as product of Qing Dynasty's system, and the architecture history evolution is also described; The investigations part of the thesis is that, according to collecting the history materials for Huhhot and investigating on the spot for history buildings, from view of history, the relations between Huhhot General's Bureau and the city in which it lived has been studied. The problem of the relation is summarized and a new assumption is also attained. Through investigations, materials collecting, survey and mapping for the building of Huhhot General's Bureau, and comparison with the similar Bureau and native historical buildings in Huhhot area, its characteristic is summarized and the influential factors that its buildings lack regional characteristic have also been drawn; The analyse part is that, based on preceding theoretical research and studying on the spot, the historical value, artistic value and scientific value have been analyzed, and the important meaning of the protection for Huhhot General's Bureau and some interrelated suggestions have been put forward.This paper summarizes some individuality of Huhhot General's Bureau, the general character which the ancient bureau building has, the study value and protection value. Based on the present condition of Huhhot General's Bureau, this paper provides some suggestions about the protection and utilization for Huhhot General's Bureau.
