The Study Of The General Hospital Outpatient Department’s Building Post Occupancy Evaluation System

Architecture provides us the space of life and work, and it is the importantsymbol of social civilization progress. Hospital Architecture for a kind ofarchitecture has a closely related to people’s daily life for its development. Withthe medical level’s improvement and the people’s new re-survey for the healthy,Hospital Architecture also a rapid development. However, for some reasons, afterusing the hospital building, we could find some problems of its function and spacewhen we used the hospital building and some even serious problem. So how toevaluate the hospital building after using it becomes a new problem which neededto be solved.Now, in China, we don’t have a system to evaluate the hospital building af terit begins to work. But the construction post occupancy evaluation system is one ofthe important part Hospital Building life cycles. It is necessary for us to set up apost occupancy evaluation system so that we have a benign cycle design patternwhich is planning-designing-feedback pattern. This paper following the trend ofthe post occupancy evaluation system of the area of architecture chooses theOutpatient Department which can first meet the patients and contains the mostpeople in the hospital as the research object. Firstly, people should set up the basicpost evaluation framework of the Outpatient Department which we used the systemtheory and the way of theoretical research by researching the related theory of theoutpatient department and the related practice; and then gradual adjustment andperfection the framework based on the investigation and analysis.Secondly, usingthe theory of analytic hierarchy process and weight analysis system, it set anoutpatient department’s architectural function and space post occupancy evaluationsystem.At the end of this paper, using an example which using the post occupancyevaluation system explain what it is and at the same time, it prove s that the postoccupancy evaluation system is a scientific and objective system. This also laid afoundation to form the Outpatient Department’s architectural design guidingoutline.The paper organized three partsThe first part is the introduction part containing the background, value,research category and research way so that I can organize the basic structure of thepaper.The second is the body part of this paper which including chapter2to chapter 6. In chapter2, the system theory analysis method was chosen by the chapterclassify the outpatient department by studying the theory of the outpatientdepartment’s function and its space and post occupancy evaluation system. Andmeanwhile people organize the basic structure of outpatient department’s postoccupancy evaluation to support the next stage of this system. The chapter3of thispaper will constant perfection and reconsider the basic construct of it with thepractical and actual investigation and analysis. Chapter4will set the finalevaluation principle、method and classification. At the same time, in this chapter, itwill establish the model of the Outpatient Department’s post occupancy evaluationsystem which is using the function of analytic hierarchy process. In chapter5, it isthe detail of the construction post occupancy evaluation system. Chapter6, it is theapplication of the Outpatient Department and its space and post occupancyevaluation system and measure the post occupancy evaluation system.The third part of this paper is the conclusion part. The paper is summarized anddeep thought for the system and also brought a wish for the OutpatientDepartment’s architectural design guiding outline.
