With the fast development transformed to the distribution network in urban and rural areas of our country, people have already realized progressively the important meaning of seeking to transform the scheme in investment decision and newly_build network through optimizing planning in power system. Because the specific area influenced by such comprehensive factors as the environment, economy, development potentiality, etc., the making of the good distribution network planning concerning cost of investment, economic benefits, impacts on surrounding area and economic development speed of this area in future.The position of transformer substation is playing the decisive role to the electrical power system network architecture, is an important link in the electrical network that "links the preceding with the following". Whether the transformer substation localization is appropriate, relates directly to the electrical power system electric transmission quality, the electrical network movement stability and the efficiency.The commonly formulation of substation optimum locating is that to optimize new construct substation's position coordinates to achieve optima of the some target value ,such as capital investment and running cost, in a certain area. Owing to the optimum of substation position coordinates is intricacy nonlinear programming problem with obligatory, the substations number may be more than one and substation locating demand to achieve multitarget require, so, substation optimum locating is a multiobjective optimization problem. Based on exist substation location planning studies, this article present that to apply peak weighted Voronoi diagrams solve substation supply area lot and new clue of substation optimium locating based on the principle of minimum circle_cover. main job as follows:(1) With the substation's economical capacity and economical power supply radius being ascertained as precondition and the entire network cost function value being least as the target, to assure the shortest distances between substations and load points by the minimum circle_cover and to solve division of the power supply area by Voronoi diagrams, and to calculate and adjust load divisions and the center of circle of the minimum circlecover repeated. This approach is applied to substation multisource successive locating.(2) Based on the application research of Voronoi diagrams, a new computing geometry approach of the power best supply area automatism plotting is given based on apex weighted Voronoi diagrams. At the same load density of the wholly supply area, the different capable of the affection on power supply area size of different main transformer capacity must be considered between different substation, new methods of the weight's definition founded on the capacity of the substation main transformer and best power supply area plotting is put forward, a structural method of apex weighted Voronoi diagrams has been established rationality.(3) Withal MapInfo Professional as a standalone development platform, to refer to redevelopment functions of this platform and to take full advantage of it's redevelopment language MapBasic to proceed software development.
