Missiles store in the environment perennially in which the temperature and humidity is improper will easily reduce the reliability of missiles and even result in vital trouble. Therefore, monitoring the temperature and humidity in the environment where missiles are stored is a long-term significant mission for the unit. There are some problems in the means of monitoring temperature and humidity which is adopted by the unit presently, such as low measuring accuracy, complicated operation, difficult exploitation and maintenance and so on. It can hardly meet the current need of temperature and humidity monitoring in the missile central warehouse and is not up to the development requirements in the Information construction of the unit.In recent year, the application of computer network technology in virtual instrument testing makes remote testing possible. Except for many advantages such as multifunction, accurate meterage, the biggest advantage of the remote testing system based on the virtual instrument is information sharing, which can realize multi-system and multi-specialist cooperating work. Meanwhile, remote testing is not restricted by time and space. Because people can get the information they need in any place at any time, the testing efficiency can be greatly promoted and the workload of the testing crew can be decreased. In view of developing tendency, the remote testing technology certainly has an unparalleled developing prospect and applying space.This paper accomplished the design of remote temperature and humidity monitoring system by taking advantages of virtual instrument and other technologies. With certain utility value, the system can preferably resolve the difficult problems of traditional testing means.The works done in the paper are as below:1. Based on the analysis of mass of military documents, it studied the infection of the temperature and humidity environment to the life of missile storage life and reliability, and testified the necessity of temperature and humidity environment monitoring of missile restoring.2. It surveyed traditional monitoring means and flow of temperature and humidity environment in the missile central warehouse, and analyzed the shortcomings of traditional monitoring technology and what should be improved. According to the demands of monitoring duty of missile central warehouse, it also proposed every variety of matters needed to be solved to establish a new monitoring system.3. According to the practical application environment, it made reasonable choices, allocation in the software and hardware environment which the monitoring system needs, so that the system meets the requirements of testing targets. 4. It resolved key technologies which are needed in software design, realized the several function model design, including the main program, data acquisition and analysis, network transmitting and receiving, data storage and query, and so on. And that the particular design of software has been done also.5. It carried on standardization design of the software system with the methods of software engineering, introduced software testing engineering, and integrated it with Labview, which is one of program debugging tools, to carry on the unit test and the confirmation test of the software system. It also has completed the validity confirmation of software function, performance, which consequently improves the accuracy, validity and integrity of software system.The paper worked over accurate measurement of temperature and humidity with virtual instrument technology; realized storage and query of monitored data with database technology; realized transmitting and receiving of monitored data with network technology. The integrated application of these technologies accomplished the design of remote temperature and humidity monitoring system for the missile central warehouse. The design of this system provides certain theoretical reference frame and experience for the application and development of virtual instrument technology in military area.
