Compressed rubbish truck is made up of truck chassis, rubbish container trunk, compressing device and so on. The purpose of the thesis is to design a new shape, lighter and better stress distribution compressed rubbish truck. In the guide of Professor Chen Shuxun, the author completed the new elliptical section shape design, new truck's load expression, finite element analysis and optimization design work.It finds that compressed rubbish truck structure's big stress often appears at the position where the surface curvature changes suddenly, when we do finite element analysis of cutting elliptical section compressed rubbish truck. To avoid the big stress, reduce the weight and balance the stress distribution, the author designed a new type of compressed rubbish truck with full elliptical trunk section. The thesis uses Eggshell rubbish load expression invented by Professor Chen Shuxun to make the rubbish load function, and do the defined element analysis. Based on the result of defined element analysis, the author has done the shape optimization design, and gets the best section shape of the rubbish container trunk. The author also establishes multiple load functions for the most typical and the most dangerous actual working conditions of the compressed rubbish truck. The functions are used to do the finite element analysis and plane thickness optimization design of the compressed rubbish truck.After the optimization design, the new compressed rubbish truck only has 2.633 ton in weight, and the structure stress is smaller than 180MPa. Compared to old rectangular section compressed rubbish truck with the same cubage and type, it reduces 1327Kg; compared to subsection arc section compressed rubbish truck with the same cubage and type, it reduces 417Kg; compared to cutting elliptical section compressed rubbish truck with the same cubage and type, it reduces 167Kg, and has much more better stress distribution.
