As a vital member of the project, the author has done the calculation of the loads applied on the front frame of the loader and the project of application of finite element analysis and optimization in engineering. This paper is based on the project.Loader is a kind of construction machinery widely used in many fields such as architecture, traffic, power station, mine, national defense and so on. It plays an important role in accelerating the speed of engineering construction, alleviating the labor intensity, improving the engineering quality and reducing the engineering costs.The front frame is a pivotal part of loader which connects the back frame, the front axle and the work installment. The designing level of the front frame affects capability of the front frame and then the loader such as strength, stiffness, reliability, economy and so on.
