Research And Development Of Special Product Design System Based On SolidWorks

The wide application of CAD technology improves effectively the quality of product design, and decreases the design cycle. For gaining more economy benefits, some manufacturing enterprises tend to use 3D CAD technology while furthest utilize two-dimensional CAD technology. However, the commercial 3D software which provides the most fundamental application function only resolves the common design problems. It's proved that to make 3D CAD software work more effectively to satisfy peculiar industry and special products, customization of them is necessary.According to practical request of the enterprise project (the product parametric design system on basis of 3D CAD), this thesis puts forward the design project of special product design system based on SolidWorks, and researches clearly some key technology about system development such as parametric design method, series design method and customization on CAD.The essence of parametric method is the product description based on constraint. At present, research and system development of parametric design of parts have been getting certain effect, but few work have been done to solve the problem of parametric design of components. Thus, this thesis further researches parametric design of parts based on SolidWorks, proposes the parametric design of components based on assembly connection by expanding the thought of parametric design of parts to it, and realizes parametric design of components based on SoildWorks.SolidWorks not only provides the powerful style function, but also offers some good practical product design serialization function, consequently meets the rapid adjustment and series demand. 3D modeling in this system adopts two series design methods including configuration and design table, thus, this thesis deeply researches the application to components series design.The research to customization technology of 3D CAD improves the application of CAD technology. This thesis analyzes development ways and common steps of customization on SolidWorks, discusses data manage skills in this system, presents a practical system based on SolidWorks and gives an example.
