Port container logistics is an organic system, made of interactive and dynamic components, such as containers, ships, berths, yards, tracks, quay cranes and yard cranes, trucks, labors and communications, in a limited terminal space. Since container terminals play a fundamental role in the container transportation to ensure a smooth transfer between different modes of transport, it is very important in internal and international trade. Because of the fast-developing global containerization, most of container ports are facing great challenges and chances.According to the characteristics of port container logistics system, This paper does research on the theoretical methods on the scheduling and simulation of port container logistics systems, does analysis on the theories and methods for the port container logistics system simulation and modeling. Meanwhile, as the equipments used for container loading and unloading are much more bigger, although it improve the efficiency, however, it brings about new problem: the investment for the infrastructural facilities rises observably. To solve this problem, this paper puts forward a new container logistics system to improve the operational efficiency, whose innovation is that the system will not increase the dock construction cost.At the beginning of the paper, a literature review on the domestic and abroad researches of container terminal logistics system is provided. Then the paper presents systemically the basic composition of the container terminal logistics system, the layout and characteristics of port and the development of modern port loading and unloading technique mode. It also explains in detail the production process of the container terminal and analyzes the main problems existing in the development of port logistic system.Then, according to the realization and development of computer simulation technology on the container terminal, this paper puts forward an object-oriented approach to model the whole port container logistics system. By doing some analysis on the logistics system, the paper takes the method of Geometry modeling and Kinematics modeling, building some static models used in the system, including urface of container terminal, yard, Quay Crane, Gantry, Tractor, Shipping, etc.Thirdly, the paper analyzes the production course of the main mechanical (?)quipments of the port container logistics system, rebuilds some loading and (?)loading machines used in the traditional system, and put forward a new container ogistics system.At last, combining virtual reality technology and mechanical designing technique, (?)asing on Flexsim simulation software and VC.net, the paper does second exploiter to set up kinematics model of the port facilities, accomplishes numeric simulation of the raditional and new container logistics system, sets up the scene model of the whole system, realizes three-dimensional computer dynamic simulation. Then the paper does some data analysis about the parameters of the machines used in the logistics system, such as the efficiency of Quay Crane, etc.
