In recent years, with the increasing value of international trade in hinterland, withthe improving competitiveness of the New Eurasia Continental Bridges, and with thegrowing development of the international multi-modal transport, the inland port, whichhas the similar functionality with the coastal port and rely on the inland railway containertransportation network, emerges as the times require. However, the construction of theinland port is just to carry out activities in our country, there is barely any operationexperience to learn from. Thus, how to program container logistics system in inland portreasonably and efficiently, and how to give full play to its operational capacitymeanwhile maximizing the cost saving, are the urgent problems at present. According tothe characteristics of the container logistics system in inland port, this thesis conducts aresearch on the theoretical approach and key technology about building up theappropriate system model and using computer simulations to analysis the built model. With the analysis of the current research status of the container logistics system ininland port, this thesis choose the Petri Net analysis technology which is suitable fordiscrete event dynamic system to model the container logistics system in inland port. Byexploring the basic theory of Petri Net and considering the different features of TimePetri Net and Control Petri Net, use he Time Petri Net (TPN) which was insertedcontrolling factors to model and analysis the system. Then, the inland port system wasdivided into imported logistics system, export logistics system and domestic tradelogistics system according to business operations. Based on the analysis of operatingprocedure, using the top-down path built TPN model for each subsystem respectively incombination of characteristic of Time Petri Net, and the performance of the built modelswere analyzed. Following closely, using Stateflow module in matlab environmentrealized the computer simulations of the TPN model of the imported logistics system. Inorder to validate the feasibility and practicability of the proposed method, this thesis set asimulation case according to both domestic and foreign actual operation status. Through simulation operation of the case, find out the system bottlenecks, and give thecorresponding improvement measures. It turned out that the proposed modeling andsimulation technology can offer valuable reference for management and decision-makingof inland port system.
