With the development of the port economy, people need much more loading& unloading machine. And the port machine becomes more and more big, speed and automatic. The application of modern remote monitor & control system can markedly improve the management status of port machine, and enhance the modernization level of port management.The modern remote monitor & control system is the combination of computer technology, network technology, communication technology, and control technology. It is the integration of communication technology and monitor & control technology. With the development of computer network technology and remote control technology, it is the inevitable result to use network technology in remote monitor & control system. Especially due to the development Internet, the study of remote monitor & control system, which is based on Internet technology, is very important.By plenty of inquiry and study, and base on real project, this paper sets up a remote monitor& control system on a global point, which is fit to the needs of port development in future and meets the actual requirement of port application. The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1) It analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of remote monitor &control system using in port now. Thinking of technology's development and actual requirement of port application, the construction ideal, function demands, design aims and principal of port remote monitor &control system are discussed.(2) By comparing diffident kinds of control method and software structure, B/S based remote monitor & control system is chosen.(3) It carries out systemic and deep research on the main contents of remote monitor &control system on B/S mode and some of its crucial technology, including UML, ASP. NET, OPC and Web Service.(4) Use the crucial technologies discussed above to construct the Web server to realize remote monitor & control based on Internet. Some real-time and safety techniques in network communication were emphasized in this paper.It can help port enterprise on the remote monitor & control system construction.
