With the rapid development of industrial automation, many varieties of control systems are used for the on-site equipment control, to control the real-time operating status of equipment. However, due to the increasing size of the automation system, the traditional way has failed to meet the needs of the control system. Control system develops for the direction of information and networking. The technology of motor control includes network communication and control technology, which achieves the integrated function of the remote visit for electrical equipment, control and data communications. This makes the information network to be embedded directly in a traditional on-site control network, and meets the needs of industrial decentralization. So based on eCos and web server, the design and realization of a remote control system for motor was introduced.Firstly, according to the development trend of industrial equipment control, the paper pointed out the background and significance that the remote control system. Subsequently, this paper analyzed the system framework and functional requirements, and established the objectives of the hardware design and software design. What’s more, it then selected ST STM32F103series chip (based on the ARM Cortex-M3core) as the system’s processor chip. On this basis, the paper put forward to the design requirements of the corresponding module.Secondly, after the introduced of basic situation of popular several operating systems, the paper then described the choice of embedded operating systems. Based on the system framework design, this paper designed the hardware circuit, transplanted the eCos operation system, and developed the driver of serial ports, GPIO, Ethernet controller, step motor and external SRAM. Through the migration of the embedded TCP/IP protocol stack LwIP and the development of web server, the functional requirements of the remote motor control system were eventually achieved. Finally, the conclusion and expectation were given. On the basis of analyzed inadequacies of the system, the paper put forward to some prospects for future system expansion, which hopes to be able to upgrade in the future work.
