| The urban road is an important part of its traffic system. And it is also the important infrastructure for social and economic development of the city as well as for the citizen's daily life. Urban road design pays attention to not only geometry design and structure design, but also traffic analysis and traffic design. Therefore, it is necessary to deepen and systematically study the theory of traffic analysis and design. This research aims to provide reference and research thought for relevant urban road traffic engineering design. The thesis can be divided into two parts: theoretical research and applied research. Firstly, it summarizes the traffic characteristics of urban road traffic factors, which are user, vehicle and road. User characteristics include the characteristics of pedestrian, passenger, and driver. Vehicle characteristics include the characteristics of bicycle and motor vehicle. Then it puts forward the characteristics of urban road traffic flow, its development tendency as well as the relevant measures. Secondly it is the first time that this thesis puts forward the concept of urban road transport analysis which includes the function of urban road traffic analysis, transport demand analysis, traffic safety analysis, traffic environment analysis etc. In addition, it points out the relevant analysis content and improvement measures. Finally it analyzes the content of urban road traffic engineering design and affords the specific design principles, contents and suggestions. In light of the measure of urban road traffic management, this thesis affords macroscopical and regional traffic organization concepts and principles. And it puts forward traffic calming to urban road design, and summarizes the traffic calming measures which are divided into four categories: speed control measures, volume control measures and the combination control measures. Moreover, it provides application condition and examples for traffic claming and analyzes its effect. It makes applied researches on Hefei nine urban roads traffic engineering design. |
